Idyllic location, excellent amenities, friendly service.

We stayed over here as part of a one-week bicycle tour of the Klein-Karoo Gravel Corridor area. Urban Retreat is situated in idyllic surroundings and is an oasis to arrive at. It is well worth the few kilometres of jeep track to reach it from the main road. Lots of hiking and swimming opportunities. Besides the beautiful garden, one can also venture into the Anysberg Nature Reserve bordering the property. The service we received from our excellent hosts was enthusiastic and friendly. We had some additional requests, which were all met. Definitely a place to go back to, for a longer period this time.

Vantastiese ligging reg langs Anysberg. Dit is so mooi en rustig.

Pure bliss!

Simply superb accommodation nestled at the base of a beautiful mountain on a stunning farm run by wonderful hosts. We couldn't have asked for more peace and tranquility, sounds of a waterfall and birds all around.

Fanta restful retreat for a couple or small family.

The Nest at Urban Retreat has its own private kloof. The home is absolutely beautiful, you have views all around with the big windows. The fireplace is fantastic. Wood is provided. You can sit under the stars by the campfire. The bathrooms are clean and nice, and the bed is comfy and king-sized. This place is really well-priced for what you get. The surrounding mountains in Anysberg are also great to explore if you're willing to hike without a path.

Beautiful site but isolated.

Need a 4x4. Very long dust road. Last 200m of road access to The Nest and campsite road is very bad. Got two punctures by the end of the trip. Very well furnished accommodation. There are baboons and animals around. No cell phone reception. Very friendly and helpful hosts.
