Delightful relaxed stay, lots of birdlife and great views.

We had a lovely relaxed stay at Verkijken. The cottage has an old farmhouse feel with tasteful, modern decor. The views and birdlife at the cottage are incredible and we spent our evenings on the stoep taking it all in. The staff were friendly, helpful and quick to respond.

I had sent a message before your arrival about the water pressure on the farm - rural water pressure is not town water pressure. We suggest using the shower when the kitchen taps are off. We are not able to use electric pumps to increase the water pressure in the shower because the load-shedding and power outages prevent that from being a working solution. We continue to work on the water pressure issue in the shower. However, my thoughts are 'just sit outside on the stoep and enjoy the views and the birdlife. One doesn't get that in town!'
