Die ligging was ideaal vir ons. Dit was naby genoeg aan alles, maar die stilte en rustige omgewing was iets anders. Ons gaan beslis weer kom kuier.

Heerlike verblyf en super-gasvryheid in 'n lieflike omgewing!

Absoluut heerlik gebly. Sommer weer bespreek vir nog 'n besoek. Die gasvrou en gasheer se gasvryheid ken geen einde nie en hulle gaan uit hulle pad om die kuier so lekker as moontlik te maak. Daar het niks gekort nie en alles was perfek vir die twee vriendinne se kuiertjie.

My cousins and sister and I (6 ladies) went for the weekend and oh what a simply beautiful place and a fantastic stay. It's self-catering but everything is (enough) of everything. The pictures don't do the place justice. The owners are such lovely people.

What the mind and body needed.

Tjokkie and Dalene are what one would call 'hartsmense'. Salt of the earth folks, who would help their fellow human beings in a heartbeat. Really hospitable, so friendly and warm, they made sure we were comfortable and were ready to go above and beyond (and did) to accommodate us. We did not need for anything; they literally thought of everything, even stocked the freezer with ice. Just bring your food and drinks, clothes and enjoy the views, catch a glimpse of farm life, pick some fruit, and go home refreshed and with a renewed sense of faith in humanity. The weather turned en route home, and Dalene checked in later that day to make sure we got home safely. Thank you very much, may you be blessed.

Was amazing, ons is deur ingewag wat ons verwelkom het, en later het vir ons 'n bottel wyn gebring. Hout by die braai voorsien, en dit was seker een van die beter verwelkomings ooit! Dankie.

Although we were out most of the day, the cottage was spotless, very clean, comfortable and welcoming. Owners were very friendly and accommodating, and everything in the cottage was pleasing and comfortable.

Dalene het aan alles gedink toe sy die kothuis ingerig het. Sy is buitengewoon behulpsaam en vriendelik. Ligging is fantasties!

Baie oulik ingerig met alles wat jy nodig het en ook keurig versier, sodat dit voel soos 'n huis. Ekstra bederf met lekker koffie en wyn. Die eienaars is die lekkerste mense en ons is vriende uitmekaar.

Fantasies!

Ek het die beste tyd gehad by Welgelee Farm Stay. Die eienaars was baie vriendelik en behulpsaam. Die plekkie is verskriklik mooi en baie baie skoon. Ek het die beste nagrus gehad, die beddens en linne is baie gemaklik en snoesig. Die uitsig is ook verskriklik mooi. Ek sal die plekkie vir enige iemand aanbeveel en sal baie graag weer die plekkie wil besoek. Definitief nie moeite en geld werd nie.

Lieflik, stil, ruim en pragtig!

Ons het baie lekker gekuier. Die huis is baie goed ingerig en daai stoep is gemaak vir familiekuiers en 'n geselsie om die braaivleisvuur. Eienaars het baie mooi na ons gekyk en ons sal vir seker teruggaan in die toekoms.

Beter gaan jy nêrens kry nie!

Surreal.

Even though all reviews on Welgelee Farm Stay are positive, they do no justice to what is being offered here. We have experienced every word written in the previous reviews and much more. Thank you for the memories that you made possible Dalene and Tjokkie, we really appreciate you going far out of your way (even building a road!) in order to accommodate us at the back of the most awful weather conditions since years ago inclusive of unexpected flooding in the entire area. Amidst cold and wet weather in the area, we had the most memorable long weekend! Everything was just perfect from cleanliness to cosiness, practical design to total resign. Words cannot really describe this surreal place.

Die verblyf is baie goed toegerus en gerieflik. Heerlike braai-area met hout en self 'n heerlike bottelwyn op die huis. Kaggel in die sitkamer en WiFi.

Gerieflik en voel tuis.

Vandat jy daar aankom tot jy daar wegry, voel jy of jy tuis is. Vriendelik, bedagsaam en behulpsaam. Die verblyf is baie, baie goed ingerig en die kleinste dingetjies maak dit ekstra mooi en lekker. Jy kan letterlik net jou tas en jou yskas/vrieskas-goed saamvat. Dinge wat uitgestaan het, is die aircon, kaggel, braai, skottelgoedwasser, first-aid-sakkie, hak vir handdoek by stortdeur, toegerus vir loadshedding, genoeg ruimte, verwelkomingsgeskenkies, die uitsig van die stoep af en nog vele meer. Definitief die beste toegeruste self-catering plek waar ek nog gebly het. Daar is ook baie in en om om te doen en naby aan Worcester.

What a little hidden gem! The owners really thought of everything and made our stay super easy and relaxing! Attention to detail and comfort were well thought of. Gorgeous location, a beautiful farm and location is close to all the local attractions. Owners are super warming and accommodating. Definitely coming back!

Amazing place and excellent services.

The place is beautiful. We received a warm welcome from Dalene and her husband. It felt like home. A lot of privacy and we weren't affected by the load shedding. Uur weekend at Welgelee was worth it.

Fantasties.

Die ligging van die akkommodasie met sy pragtige berg uitsig vanaf jou stoep is vervoerend. Die gasvrou was wonderlik en so gasvry. Hulle het ons bederf met 'n bottel wyn en lemoene met aankoms. Regtig 'n spesiale ervaring en sal gou wil terug gaan.

More than I expected and the service beyond expectations.

Everything you need is here. If you need a space to think rest and recharge. This is the right place. Everything you need has been provided and even what you did not think of is there. The place is clean and pleasant. You are in the heart of nature and there is a pleasant aura in the environment. Surrounded by vines and clean air! I would recommend this to anyone!

Hierdie was 'n besonderse lekker kuier. Ons was so bederf deur Dalene en Tjokkie.

Met aankoms op Welgelee was ons ontvang met 'n groot glimlag van Dalene. Die verblyf was ongelooflik mooi en lekker en het ons dadelik tuis gevoel. Ons het 'n naweek geniet van stilte, mooi berge en wingerde wat herfs raak. Vir beter kon ons nie vra nie. Ons het 'n heerlike bottel wyn ontvang vanaf Dalene en Tjokkie en kon ons 'n stukkie van die Boland saam met ons terugbring. Ons gaan vir seker weer by julle kom kuier.

Baie dankie aan Dalene en Tjokkie vir julle gasvryheid! Nog nooit het ons so warme verwelkoming êrens anders gekry nie. Die plekkie is mooi ingerig met als wat jy nodig het. Ons het die rustige tydjie baie geniet. Dalene het selfs voorgestel ons kon vroeër inboek en uitboek die volgende dag net wanneer ons wil. Ek sal beslis Welgeleë Farm stay aanbeveel!

We had a lovely stay at Welgelee. The cottage was clean and beautiful and we really appreciated the attention to detail like the fresh flower arrangements all over. Dalene and Chokkie were friendly, helpful and welcoming. There was even a complimentary bottle of delicious red wine made from the grapes they grow on the farm. It was so good we bought a box to take home with us. Thank you for everything Dalene and Chokkie. We would love to visit again in the future.

A quiet breakaway from the city, to the Winelands and mountains.

I've been a loyal client of the website for quite a few years, but this stay really blew my mind in every way. The hospitality we experienced felt more like we were visiting old friends instead of just booking accommodation. We were truly spoilt, and enjoyed the friendliness, helpful tips on local points of interest. A big bonus here is the possibility of hiking on the property, through the fynbos up to the mountains, or to the farm dams through the orchards. The accommodation is stylishly well appointed, and incredibly comfortable. The kitchen is equipped with everything you could possibly need to cook up a storm. The views from the stoep and braai area are unbelievable, and the quiet at night is a true balm to the weary city soul. I am definitely going back in 2022.

We absolutely loved our stay at Welgelee Farm Stay. A huge thanks to Dalene for her wonderful hospitality. When we arrived there were delicious pancakes and rusks left for us. The Saturday we received fresh towels and a bottle of wine. Dalene was always in contact to check on us and I have to say we appreciated it all. Also recommended where we could eat and what we could do to entertain our 5-year-old. It was our first weekend away as a family of 4 and we are so happy we spent it at this establishment.

Lekkerste naweek in 'n lang tyd.

Hierdie was ons eerste naweek weg in 'n baie lang tyd, en ons kan nie meer gelukkig wees omtrent ons keuse nie. Die huis het alles wat mens nodig het, en is ver genoeg van alles af om te voel asof mens ver van die huis af is, maar ook naby genoeg aan omliggende dorpies as mens iets nodig het. Die uitsig oor die berge is fantasties, en die omgewing is pragtig en perfek stil. As jy wil ontspan is hierdie beslis vir jou. Dankie Tjokkie en Dalene, ons sal sonder twyfel weer terug wees.

Beautiful location, wonderful hosts, stunning accomodation.

Tjokkie & Dalene were wonderful hosts, friendly and generous. The house is wonderful and peaceful and the view is something to behold. We were able to run and cycle into the mountains from the house and it was really just a relaxing and tranquil atmosphere to rest and rejuvenate in. The house is exactly what you see in the pictures and more. It is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need.

Daleen went out of her way to make our stay more than memorable. The home is very cosy, the rooms most spacious and the kitchen very well equipped. The coffee and home made rusks were such a treat after a long day on the road.

Ons is vriendelik ontvang deur Dalene en Tjokkie. Die huis is keurig en skoon, `n plesier om in te stap en te ontspan. Goed toegerus met goeie koffie en tee en spierwit heerlike beddegoed en handdoeke. Gaan kuier gerus.

Dalene het baie goed met my gekommunikeer en duidelike aanwysings gestuur. Sy het uit haar pad gegaan om ons verblyf lekker te maak. Ons het baie lekker daar gekuier en sal dit vir seker aanbeveel.
