Wonderful stay.

A fantastic old home with hundreds of interesting stories to be told by the owner. The old antique furniture and pictures were priceless... congrats! Huge comfortable room with all the necessary extras.

Nice country farm feel.

As we only stayed one night I can not write an in depth review. What I can say is that the owner, Tony, was very friendly and hospitable. The room we had was nice, the house is a lovely old style farm or Victorian house. Not sure if there were any other guests there but it was very quiet and peaceful. If you are just looking for affordable accommodation I can recommend it.

Taking a guest into an already occupied guest house, which is shared with other couples, is not easy. The previous couple had booked in the previous day and the setup for them was perfect where they could enjoy themselves with their 2 grandchildren and their parents.

Chantal had been warned and assured me there would not be a problem. With these guests staying for longer, they obviously had more food and were well settled in when Cantal and her husband arrived just before the start of the wedding, only to be confronted with kids toys and possible extra stuff in the kitchen which could make it appear it less than pristine.

I had spoken with the family earlier before Chantal arrived voicing my concerns and they immediately understood any possible misconception by a later arriving guest. This is an awkward situation that I tried to sort without offending the family who were really nice people so am sorry that Chantal was ultimately unhappy with what we offered.
