Value for money, good location and lots of wildlife.
Upon arrival, we were initially quite disappointed with our camping pitch. Unfortunately, there was no indication that there are only three waterfront pitches when booking. We also booked over 9 months back and would think this would give us a good spot on a first come first serve basis. They moved us to just one back of the waterfront pitches which was much better than our pitch on arrival. The private bathroom and kitchen area is a big bonus. Note that no fishing may take place before Zambezi Mubala from the side. You must book a boat and guide to take you out and charges are by the hour. There is a nice eatery and bar overlooking the river. The menu is small, but the food was delicious every time. Our two evenings turned out very well. If you like bird watching, this is the place to be. The resort offers various boat trips on the Zambezi. Customer service can also be improved a little in the bar/restaurant. It almost felt like all you were asking for was effort.

Bee-eaters, manatees and fish-catchers.
It's the red-breasted bee-eater colony that attracted us to this place (and we saw you). We would recommend a boat trip of at least two hours on the Zambezi (many kingfishers, manatees and bee-eaters spotted). Campsite 1 and 2 have the most beautiful view of the river and have their own ablution facilities. And it's tarred all the time (from Windhoek to the entrance).
