Brits Hoërskool
Description
Brits Hoërskool, also known as Brits High School or Britsies, is a public Afrikaans boarding school in Brits. It is recognised as one of the top rugby schools in the North West. The school caters for learners from Grade 8 to Grade 12 and has over 1000 students. Both day scholars and boarders are accommodated.
HERITAGE
Brits Hoërskool grew out of Brits Middelbareskool and became Hoërskool Brits in 1942. The cornerstone of the main building was laid in 1945. In 1947, the school had 382 students. Today, the school has well over 1000 students, of which more than 600 are boys.
ACADEMIC
The school motto is Koersvas na die Kruin which means “Keep on to the Peak”.
