Burgher House
Description
The Burgher house in Stellenbosch was built in 1797 and today it is the central office of the Historical Homes foundation in South Africa. The Cape Dutch building is easily recognized by its H-shaped typical Neo-Classical gable. The wagon house attached to the south side of the house and the cottage facing Market Street known as the Van der Riet House have been demolished.
