Calitzdorp Hot Springs

Description

Calitzdorp Spa is a natural hot spring located halfway between Calitzdorp and Oudtshoorn in the Western Cape. The resort has a mineral rich warm outdoor pool, hot indoor Roman Bath, and two cold water swimming pools. There is plenty to do for the whole family with tennis, hiking, and bird watching available on site, as well as the chance to spot Springbok wander the grounds at dusk and dawn. Day visitors are permitted by prior arrangement.

Facilities include braai spots, scullery, television room, and a shop. Self-catering chalets and camp sites are available for those who’d like to overnight. The mineral reaches a temperature of 50ËšC at the source, and is known for its healing properties which ease ailments like sprains, high blood pressure, bruises, stress, and rheumatic complaints.
