Crags View Wild Care Centre
Description
Crags View Wild Care Centre is situated on Crag’s View farm in Port Edward, and is notably the official wildlife rehabilitation centre serving the lower south coast region of KwaZulu-Natal. Visitors can enjoy a heart-warming experience as they get to know the gentle, injured animals that are treated at this non-profit wildlife rehabilitation centre.
Crag’s View was the result of a dream by two people named Craig Hosken and Ina de Koker who became very involved in the plight of a special blue duiker. After realising their true calling, the centre was established in October 2002.
The main aim of the centre is to rehabilitate, care for, and release as many animals and birds back into their natural habitats as possible. Animals that have been treated at the centre include antelope such as the protected blue duiker and bush buck, as well as a variety of birds and mammals.
Visitors can enjoy an uplifting experience at the centre, attend educational tours, and support the gentle wildlife residents at Crag’s by virtually adopting an animal for just R10 a month.
