Only a 5 minute drive north of Fourways, close to the Lanseria International Airport and the Cradle of Humankind, Croc City gives you the unique opportunity to hold a baby crocodile, a variety of exotic snakes, and a tarantula. Make sure you have your camera ready, because it is a great photo opportunity!

If you really want to get your adrenalin going, Croc City has recently launched a new flyover - a zip line that gives you the opportunity to glide over 3 enclosures with over 100 crocodiles below! It may sound frightening, but it's perfectly safe and secure, and the experience begins with a brief safety and orientation session by highly trained guides. The flyover is priced at R95 for adults and R75 for children under 12 years.

If you aren’t feeling that brave, you can visit the reptile display and see some of South Africa’s most venomous snakes, including the black mamba, green mamba, and boomslang from behind glass. Take an informative guided tour around the crocodile pens, which boast crocs of all sizes, from babies to over 5m in length. Tours can be in either English or Afrikaans. Then relax with a light lunch in the tea garden while the kids enjoy the shaded play area.

Croc City is open 7 days a week, from 9am to 4:30pm, including public holidays. At 2pm on weekends, come and watch the feeding of the crocodiles, or pop around on Sundays and public holidays for the venomous snake show at 11am, where the brave at heart can even touch a puff adder! The curio shop is well-stocked with souvenirs, crocodile oil lotion, and crocodile meat products.
