Hartenberg Wine Estate

Description

Hartenberg Wine Estate is a lovely winery located in Stellenbosch in the Cape winelands. Enjoy a day of wine tasting or a family picnic with magnificent views. Book a table under the lapa or rent large cushions for lounging around on the lawns. A kiddies play area keeps the little ones busy. Other activities include wetland walks and boules.

Wine tasting

Food and wine pairings are a wonderful way to taste the excellent Hartenberg wines. A canapé and wine pairing offers the chance to experience 5 select wines matched with bite sized morsels.

Food

A season menu is offered in the tasting room on the terrace in summer and alongside the fireplace in winter. Items include smoked salmon, Karoo lamb chops, and Greek salads.

Picnics

Picnics at Hartenberg are lovely family affairs. All ingredients for the picnics are sourced locally and include a bottle of wine to share between 2 people, or a bottle of the neighbouring farm’s sparkling grape juice. Kiddies picnic boards are available.
