The International School of South Africa (ISSA) is an independent co-ed boarding school on a 54 hectare estate on the outskirts of Mafikeng, North West. The school has a junior school with 360 students and a senior school with 450 students and caters for learners from Grade 0 to Grade 12, as well as post-Matric (Cambridge A-levels). The International School of South Africa has students from 18 different countries around the world and offers a diverse learning space. It is owned and managed by a board of governors and is a member of the Independent Schools Association of South Africa (ISASA) and the European Council of International Schools (ECIS).
HERITAGE
The International School of South Africa was founded in 1990 by a board of governors. The primary school was built in two phases and opened its doors to 300 students in September 1995.
ACADEMICS
The senior school has an international curriculum and writes exams set by the University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate. The Matrics have achieved a 100% pass rate. The school motto is Laseding La Ona which means “This Light”.
