Mabibi Beach
Description
Mabibi Beach is one of the last undeveloped beaches left on the African coastline, located in the small town of Mabibi, just 25km north of Sodwana Bay in KwaZulu-Natal. Set within the gorgeous iSimangaliso Wetlands Park, the beach is hidden within a sheltered bay surrounded by exquisite coastal forest and dunes. If that hasn’t conjured up an image of a tropical paradise, perhaps the crystal-clear water, which offers tranquil swimming, snorkelling on coral reefs, and offshore scuba diving, will.
Mabibi Beach is perfect for those enjoy the solitude of a deserted beach. It is reached by an off-road vehicle through the sand, subtropical forest, and coastal dunes. Once you arrive, you’ll be overwhelmed by this footprint-free wonderland, equipped with a rustic campsite and little else.
