Metropolitan Golf Course

Description

The Metropolitan Golf Course is a top class golf course in Mouille Point, Cape Town. Established in 1895, the course is recognised as one of the finest 9-hole courses on the continent. Lovingly known as The MET, it was commissioned by the City of Cape Town and rebuilt in 2010 by local Golf Course Architect, Mark Müller.

Lying in the shadow of Table Mountain and the Cape Town Stadium on the Green Point Common, the course belies its 9 hole status and 14 greens. With long and or separate tees, together with 14 world class greens, the course plays very much like an 18 hole layout. The course is parkland in design with Bent Grass greens and Kikuyu fairways, and abundant fauna and flora.
