Parktown High School for Girls was founded in 1923 as a co-ed school.

Parktown High School for Girls achieves consistently good results in the Matric examinations with over 97% of the girls qualifying for bachelor degree studies at university. The school motto is Scientia Et Veritas which means “Knowledge and Truth”
