Description

Safari Ostrich Show Farm is a family friendly attraction in the heart of “Ostrich Country”, just 6km from Oudtshoorn in the Western Cape. The 1,500 hectare farm offers visitors a chance to see large flocks of ostriches at different stages of development, and learn more about these giant birds.

Do an ostrich tour, relax at the coffee shop, browse the curio shop, or dine at the restaurant. Don’t forget to try the Ostrich Fillet which is marinated overnight and served with an Apricot Mustard Sauce.

1 hour Classical Tour

You will get the chance to tour the ostrich farm to view the various birds in their camps, see different types of ostrich feathers, experience the processing of ostrich skins, and see a complete ostrich skin used to make shoes, bags, and more. You can also see chicks hatching in the incubators during the breeding season (June – February).

Tour highlights include a photo opportunity standing on an ostrich egg, sitting on an ostrich, and watching the jockeys show off their ostrich riding skills.
