Seekoei River Nature Reserve
Description
Seekoei River Nature Reserve is located between the coastal villages of Aston Bay and Paradise Beach, approximately 5km south of Jeffreys Bay, Eastern Cape.
The 66 hectare reserve consist mainly of kaffrarian thicket and patches of fynbos. Wildlife includes bushbucj, grysbok, blue duiker, bush pig, porcupine, caracal, yellow and grey mongoose, and more.
There is a 3km hiking trail that can be reached by crossing the river or pontoon. A short 1km hike runs through the northern section of the reserve and passes the bird hide where birds can be viewed from the bank of the estuary. A braai facility is available.
