St Anne’s School for Girls, also known as St Anne’s Diocesan College, is an independent boarding school for girls in Hilton, KwaZulu-Natal. The school caters for 420 girls from Grade 8 to Grade 12.
HERITAGE
St Anne’s School for Girls was founded by William Macrorie, Bishop of Maritzburg, and Miss Creswell in 1877. The foundation stone was laid in 1903 in its new location with views of the Drakensberg Mountains. The college moved to Hilton Road in 1904.
ACADEMICS
The 2014 Matrics achieved a 100% pass rate and a 98% University Entrance pass. The school motto is Res Non Verba, Crux Non Vis which means “Deeds Not Words, the Cross no Force”.
