Stanford Lake College

Description

Stanford Lake College (SLC) is an independent co-ed high school on the banks of the Troutbeck and Stanford Lakes in the Wolkberg Mountains., between Tzeneen and Polokwane, in Limpopo. Situated on one of the most beautiful school campuses in the world, amidst rolling hills and indigenous forests, the school caters for 260 students from Grade 8 to Grade 12. It is an English medium school with Christian values. Both day and boarding facilities are available.

Stanford Lake College is guided by the Board of Directors of the Letaba Educational Trust. The school is a member of the Independent Schools Association of Southern Africa (ISASA) and the International Round Square Organisation.

HERITAGE

Stanford Lake College was founded in 1998. It was originally a hotel called Troutwaters Inn and the hotel rooms were repurposed into boarding houses. Since then, several blocks of classrooms and extra boarding houses have been built to accommodate the growing school.

ACADEMICS

The 2014 Matric class continued the school’s tradition of achieving a 100% pass rate in the Independent Examinations Board exams. They also achieved a 100% University Entrance pass. The school motto is Labor Et Integritas which means “Labour And Integrity”.
