"We visited Clarens as there is always a hype about the town. Some very interesting but tourist-priced shops. Some good restaurants and the food at the Brewery was exceptional for pub food. Maybe we missed something but the town itself was a bit of a disappointment. But we enjoyed the area as the Sandstone mountains are really beautiful, and especially enjoyed the drive through the Maluti mountains around Golden Gate."

"Paaie is in 'n toestand - slaggate oral.
"Clarens is a pretty village, but in my view is best visited on a weekday when it's not so crowded. I recommend Gostos - the Portuguese restaurant."
"Clarens is great for a quiet break, but would be challenging for kids needing lots of activities."
"We travelled for a sporting event at Koedoeslaagte which was great. Don't think we would choose to visit the actual town again but will come back for the MTB race."
"We traveled there for the hockey tournament and did not have much time to do anything else but the Preller mall and eateries were our breakfast and dinner spots and we loved it! "
