Port Shepstone, Hibiscus Coast
Pelmiet Cottage"Port Shepstone has a big shopping centre and nearby Shelly Beach and South Coast Mall are also very nice if you want to shop. I would rather swim in the sea so spent time in the Southport tidal pool and a lovely beach (both sandy and rocky) a 2 min walk away from the cottage. Super stay."

Ocean's Paradise Beach Cottage"A few nice beaches, that's about it, it's not a big blooming holiday destination as it used to be. Even the locals said Port Shepstone died. Very sad."
"Too many hours of loadshedding. But if you don't fish, there is nothing else you can enjoy."
"Het nie baie veilig in die dorp self gevoel nie. Ons het meer van Uvongo gehou. Manaba strand was heerlik en veilig en ons het graag daar geswem."
"Hartseer dat daar agteruitgang te sien is. Dorpsraad doen nie meer moeite om skoon te hou oor spitsvakansie nie. Polisie was egter goed sigbaar vir veiligheid. Water en rioolspil ook steeds 'n probleem. By Cowrie het jy nie nodig gehad om uit die kompleks te gaan nie."
"The roads are in very bad conditions and the smell of sewerage in some places is very bad."
"The locations are beautiful, but the ocean is incredibly dirty. We swam in the water twice and became very sick- needing antibiotics due to the terrible sanitary condition of the water. The restaurants nearby are incredible, but you still have to drive quite a while for other attractions."
"Margate se swembad het verskriklik gestink, kon glad nie daar swem nie, ons was vir 2 dae siek met 'n maagvirus a.g.v. van die water."

Pelmiet Cottage"The current roadworks in the CBD make it a bit chaotic and the traffic is heavy. But it offers quick and easy access to the South Coast and has a wealth of interesting places to visit and activities."
"Although the beach was open, won't recommend swimming due to dirty sea and lagoon water."
