Aberdeen is in my bloed.
"Not a tourist destination but more of an overnight option to break a long day of travelling."
"Hopetown is another rural town that has gone backwards. The streets, if you can call them that, are a series of potholes, if there's any tar left, rocks and nasty bumps; no effort was made to smooth them out. Load shedding occurs between 6 and 9, am and pm."
"El Toro Park is one of the better areas, if not the best to stay in Kimberley. Peaceful, still nature surrounding it and away from all the noisy parts from town. lso very clean, tidy and perhaps to be plain, one can describe it as a upper class part of town if you will."
"Very glad there was a butcher and a bottle store. Basic things mean a lot when on two wheels."
"Travelling from Gauteng (Alberton) to Cape Town by car, we find Beaufort West a convenient destination to end the first day of road travelling. One completes about two-thirds of the road on the first day. This allows enough time to complete the road trip at a slower speed from say Worcester to Cape Town. One can stop at farm stalls and purchase wine and other farm products. Also one can prevent collecting speed fines with all the cameras and cops doing speed monitoring from say Hex River Valley onward!"
"A historical town. I would love to go back and spend more time there."
