"Kon glad nie van die hoofstrand gebruik maak nie. Was gesluit vir swem, geen redes is aangevoer nie. Het na Uvongo gery om van die strand gebruik te maak."

"Margate has always been close to my heart as an ex-resident and always my preferred holiday destination. It would be good to see the municipality step in and clean up the area and keep it clean. Much rubbish lying around on the beaches and areas accessible to the sea along the piers. Otherwise an awareness campaign for all tourists and locals to be litter conscious. It would not hurt anyone to carry a rubbish bag with them when taking drives, whether parking for a break along the coastline, having a meal or a drink, or spending the day on the beach. Keep the town clean not only for the sake of the town, but for the sake of our environment."
