"As 'n vakansiedorp in die somervakansie, sou 'n mens dink hulle roomyswinkels óf minstens KFC sal draai roomyse beskikbaar hê vanaf vroeg, dit is egter nie die geval nie. Red Desert Natuur Reservaat is beslis 'n belewenis, maar sal dit nie aanbeveel vir energieke of baie jong kinders nie."

"I saw very little of Port Edward as I stayed only a few days, spending most of my time at the Wild Coast Sun with the SA junior chess championships. The beach at the WCS was beautiful and the huge bridge across the adjacent river was quite impressive! The area at the Superspar and petrol garage seemed rather chaotic with the taxi rank close by but I didn't experience any problems. Overall a great experience and I would like to revisit Port Edward."

"Die Suidkus is baie skoon en netjies. Die N3 is in 'n baie goeie toestand. Al die bestemmings vanaf Glenmore tot by Port Edward is uiters skoon en netjies. Ek het die Suidkus nog nooit so lekker ervaar nie."

"Very limited shops available. Spar is overcrowded and limited stock is available. Nobody replenishing the stock. Should have a manager walking around, speaking to customers. I do not feel safe in Port Edward. Should have community members, with special t-shirts on walking around. Across from the Spar, the area is neglected. They should make a neat smart area where the local ladies can sell their fruit and veg to the holidaymakers."
