"Having had a holiday home there for about 12 years, I have nothing but praise for St Francis Bay as a holiday destination. Beaches are clean, lovely white, soft sand and a great holiday atmosphere throughout the village during the festive seasons. Just a pity that the ablutions at the main beach or any of the beaches for that matter, are non-existent or when they are, they're in a disgusting state. Would be great for beach-goers if there was also a small refreshment stall where one could buy cold drinks, ice creams, hotdogs or burgers. There does seem to be a definite improvement in general infrastructure!"

"Die hawe bied n pragtige uitsig oor die see en bote. Bote kan gehuur word per uur vir ritte op die seë. Handgemaakte items te koop om jou te laat onthou van St.Francisbaai en die tyd wat jy daar deurgebring het. Die gemeenskap vriendelik en behulpsaam. Ek besoek graag weer St. Francisbaai."

"One of the most scenic coastal villages in South Africa. Well off the N2 so it is quiet and pastoral as well as diverse in its topography. Mostly rocky coastline with spectacular crashing waves on the Cape side but also clean, sandy beaches in the bay areas where surfers glided on big waves during the national competition in May. The penguin chicks at the rescue center near the picturesque lighthouse were predictably adorable and the staff there demonstrated how they are working hard to save this species which is unfortunately approaching an endangered status. So much to see and do and the people are so helpful and welcoming! We have traveled all over South Africa but this has become a favorite place! "
