"Definitief 'n dorp wat jy ten minste een keer in jou lewe moet ervaar. Die dorp lyk regtig of hy plek-plek stil staan in tyd, met die outydse geboue en grondpaaie, maar tog is dit modern genoeg met dinge soos WiFi en restaurante. Het definitief baie geleer in Sutherland oor die sterre en planete."

"Sutherland is a cold winter destination! Especially if you are used to differently insulated winter homes abroad. We did not time our trip in accordance with the moon and arrived there during a full moon. On the plus side, we managed to see and photograph the moon through the telescope. Do bear in mind that the moonlight lights the sky up considerably and the Milky Way becomes quite faint. We did enjoy our stay though and would definitely recommend the destination."
"Sutherland is a little unknown gem in the Northern Cape. It offers so much that you can't experience in a city. It was an awesome experience in winter (got to see snow), however, it must be amazing to explore it in summer. It makes for a great weekend getaway and definitely a place I will return to in summer."
