"Please note that the road from Mthatha to Coffee Bay is 95 km long but takes two and a half hours to travel because the road is badly maintained. A bakkie or SUV is needed."

Lagoon View"Unfortunately, the ocean was brown while we were there so we could not use the beach. Walk up the cliff was awesome. Enjoyed the motorbike museum."

"Seker een die mooiste plekke in ons land, maar baie onveilig en besoedel. Indien daar nie drastiese ingrepe kom nie, sal hierdie deel van ons land 'n ashoop word wat niemand meer gaan besoek nie. Om van veiligheid nie eers te praat nie! Dit was uiters skokkend! Wie voel dan veilig om selfs net op 'n strand te gaan stap?"

Jy moet egter baie goed voorbereid gaan, alhoewel die naaste winkels net 20 km ver is, ry jy omtrent 'n uur aan die 20 km weens baie slaggate asook diere. Die natuur is egter so mooi dat dit alles die moeite werd maak. Die geheim is om goed voorbereid te gaan, nie luuksheid te verwag nie en alles moontlik saam te vat, aangesien daar nêrens vleis en luuksheid te koop is in Koffiebaai self nie. Daar is wel spaza-winkels waar die broodnodige soos vars brood, koeldrank, hout en vuuraansteekers gekoop kan word. Dit is voorwaar die moeite werd en 'n plek wat jy op jou ticklys kan sit en een vir die boeke!"

"It's beautiful except the roads are very dangerous. Not only is it rough corrugated roads, but we shared the roads with all types of animals as well. This was the beauty of seeing the animals just moving swiftly over the roads or lazing in the sun."

Lagoon View on Inchara Drive"Pretty town with lovely campsite, if this is what you want to do. Worth a visit if travelling the Wild Coast. We can recommend The Deck if you need to eat out. Good, reasonable food and lovely staff."
