Beautiful surroundings and view. Als was as it was promised to us.
It is a very beautiful and neat unit. We couldn't have asked for more. Would definitely recommend and if we visit the area again the unit will definitely be at the top of our list.

Quiet, beautiful, clean and tidy.
Neat and clean, with everything we needed. Peaceful scenery with friendly horses. We will definitely stay there again and hopefully for longer.

Cozy with good service.
Monica put in a lot of effort! Plekkie is cute but smaller than in photos. Clean but mold on walls and very small barbecue in the open not nice when it rains! Had a lot of loadshedding which affected our time badly.

Caversham Woods 's response
Hello Rozelle, sorry to hear that. When we describe the cottage in our write-up, we mention that it is small and cosy, and the photos haven't been enhanced to make it look bigger than it is. We wouldn't want to do that. We do have backup lights, lanterns, and candles for instances of load shedding. We also provide a gas cooker and hot water for bathing and showers, so the only amenity affected would be the WiFi. However, being in the countryside and enjoying the rural retreat, we believe you can enjoy being without it for a short time. We are considering a backup system for that.
All our other guests enjoy the cottage.
As regards the mould, it has been rainy and we haven't had time for it to dry out to make repairs. Thank you for the feedback, we will definitely rectify the braai and put a cover over that area.

Great location.
Caversham Woods 's response
Dear Fiona Thank you for the lovely review. Load shedding is unfortunately what we have to deal with but we have tried our best to accommodate our guests. We have gas geysers, gas cookers, rechargeable light, rechargeable bulbs in the bed side lamps, Candles and paraffin lanterns. And then of course the fire places to keep warm. We hope to host you again. Regards Cara

Old-fashioned interior.
Caversham Woods 's response
Our cottages are quaint and rustic farm cottages. Although they are eclectic with classic furniture and decor to suit what the midlands is all about we have equipped them with beautiful linen and very comfortable beds. If you want a modern interior the Midlands is not for you. I suggest Umhlanga.
Thanks to Eskom, Vodacom and MTN when the towers are not operating it is totally out of our hands. The midlands is about seeing the country and exploring. Not about being on your phone. People like to switch off and enjoy nature.
