Possibly the worst place I have ever stayed in.

This was possibly one of the worst establishments I have ever stayed in. The house is in total disrepair - broken tiles (not even just cracked, 1/3 of the tile is missing), most of the bulbs in the house have blown. The house itself is filthy dirty. We paid extra for a cleaner for 2 days - all she basically did was make the beds. The day we arrived, there were dead moths in the main bedroom. I asked her to sweep them away. When we left 3 days later, they were still there. The chandelier in the lounge is full of dust and cobwebs - not sure when last that has seen a feather duster. A bird obviously had gotten into the house at some time and pooped on the wall - it was there when we got there and still there when we left! The jacuzzi has 1 button that works for the jets - the rest don't work. The heat pump was not working at all - they had to come out 3 times to fix it. It eventually started heating up on the day we left, and we were there for 3 days. It is as if the owner is using the house as a storage space for random stuff and junk. There is a broken pool table in the side area of the kitchen. There are broken pieces of roof tiles in the bottom garage. There is a rusting wash line and all the broken parts of it on the top patio. Anything that is broken just gets put in the nearest cupboard, e.g. the soap dish and shampoo holder in the bottom bathroom fell off the wall a while ago and these parts were just put in the cupboard. Not repaired or put back on the wall, just put in the nearest cupboard. You'll find this all over the house - most cupboards have broken parts lying in them as well as random loose wires throughout the house, obviously where something had been connected to it before. There are side lamps in each bedroom but nowhere to plug them either - either because they are 2 prongs (and who travels with 5 or more adaptors?) or because the plug points where they are supposed to be plugged in were being used by something else, i.e. alarms. On arrival, we placed all the dishes into the dishwasher and there was a plate that had not even seen any water - it was just placed straight back into the cupboards, with scraping of leftover food. Surely this is checked when guests check out so that the place is clean for the next set of guests? When I sent a picture of the dirty plate, the owner responded with a crying emoji face. No apology, no phone call, no accountability at all. The towels in one of the rooms were filthy. It looked as if someone had wiped their buttocks on it - brown stripes all over it! The view is great but the pics on the website are also deceiving. It shows a big open patch of grass in front of the house, leading to the dam - this is an old photo as there are now houses built there. In summary - the house is in total disrepair, is dirty, and is being used as a storage area for junk. Will definitely not recommend this place.

Heerlike plek om saam met vriende te geniet.

Heerlike naweek gehad saam met vriende. Was goeie waarde vir geld. Ons was 8 volwassenes en die plek was so ruim ons het nooit onder mekaar se voete gewees nie. Volgende keer vat ek iemand met 'n skipper lisensie saam!
