Hillston Farm
Description
The Hillston Cottage was built in the late 1800s, and previous generations have used the cottage to house managers and governesses. 60 years ago it was even used as a school, which all the neighbouring farms’ children attended. The cottage can accommodate up to 6 guests and contains 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, and an open-plan kitchen, dining room and family lounge with underfloor heating. The first and second bedrooms each contain a double bed, and the third bedroom contains 2 single beds. The beds are made up with comfortable duvets and electric blankets. The bathroom contains a bath, a shower, and a separate toilet. The kitchen is well-equipped for self-catering with a stove, microwave, kettle, toaster, iron and breakfast counter with stools. Relax on the front verandah and watch the sunset with the guinea fowl and hadeda signalling the end of the day, or eat your breakfast at the wooden combo set. Enjoy a braai in the Boer War Blockhouse lapa or outside in the garden.

Description
The Northmead Country House is a spacious homestead has been furnished and equipped to a very high standard and retains much original charm and character. Beautifully sanded and varnished wooden floors and beamed ceilings provide a warm atmosphere. The absence of Eskom guarantees a romantic stay with candles and LED lights. The house can accommodate up to 8 guests and contains 4 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and a guest toilet, a kitchen, dining room, and sunroom. The first bedroom contains a brass double bed. The second, third and fourth bedrooms each contain 2 single beds. The bathroom contains a shower-over-bath, a toilet and a washbasin, and there is a second separate toilet. The farmhouse-style kitchen is equipped with coal or wood-burning stove as well as a gas stove and fridge. The dining room features an open fireplace for cosy winter evenings. The spacious separate sunroom is the perfect place to settle in with a book or a card game on a relaxing break.
