An awesome venue in a tranquil and natural setting.

The cottages at Rockwood Farm are beautiful and blend in well with the superb setting of the Cederberg. The bird life is an attraction in itself and well worth the visit. Together with the clean, well-equipped cottage and our friendly hostess, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Magical.

Magical Rockwood Farm truly is breathtaking, offering so much for all ages. This must be on your bucket list of places to visit. Theresa and her team assisted us with an extra request; a big shout out to them. You are amazing!

Fantastic experience.

Theresa is an excellent hostess. The location is beautiful. Private rock and swimming pools are exceptional. Rolling lawns with mountain surrounds as a backdrop.

The best accommodation of our ten day trip.

Well appointed cottage in a delightful setting. Sadly, rain and cold prevented us from enjoying the garden and outside area. But a generous gas heater and fireplace kept the cottage warm and cosy. Grab handles in the shower and electric blankets would be a big plus.

Serene, beautiful and great to recharge your batteries.

Suburb accommodation in an amazing part of the Western Cape!

This was our second visit to Rockwood Farm! We absolutely love it out here! From pre-check in till checkout, we've been looked after so well! Warm and friendly reception! Extra firewood for the cold, wet weekend was delivered to our door. Thank you, Theresa! Everything you need is in the cottage. Lovely white linen and towels! Extra warm blanket and hot water bottles! They've put on the heaters in our rooms before arrival - how sweet is that! Braaing even in the rain was no problem, Weber on the stoep! It is a lovely cottage and we will see you for sure next year again for the bike race!

It was an amazing stay in a perfect location. The views are awe-inspiring and the cottage has everything you need. The host is friendly, welcoming and just lovely in general. I would recommend this place to everyone looking to unwind in a place of tranquility.

Drie dae van stap, swem en na die wolke kyk. Magies.

Rockwood is op 'n beelskone plek gelee - die lig, die enorme blou lug, die rooi rotste, die oopheid en natuur oral om jou is magies. Die swempad by Wild Olive is ook fantasties, soos 'n rotspoel maar nog mooier, en die tuin en die buitesitplekke is wonderlik. Die enigste iets wat nie ideaal was nie, is die pad wat baie naby verbyloop en waar vragmotors en karre brul. Dis dus nie totaal stil nie. Maar die huisie self en die omgewing is onverbeterlik.

Fantastiese ligging. Baie gerieflik en mooi ongewone.

'n Pragtige vakansiehuis met asemrowende natuurskoon, uitsig en staproetes wat 'n waterval insluit.

Die ideale wegbreekvakansiehuis uit die stad om weer die natuur in te neem en te geniet. Die verblyf is goed toegerus en het alles gehad wat ons nodig gehad het. Hulle is ingerig vir beurtkrag en die oorskakeling na hul eie kragstelsel het foutloos verloop tydens die 2 keer wat daar beurtkrag was. Die staproetes is goed gemerk en die stroompie en waterval het sterk geloop danksy die goeie reën.

Home away from home, but with breathtaking scenery and amazing walks on your doorstep.

Rockwood Farm is truly amazing. Comforts of home with breathtaking scenery and so much to do for everyone! We had an amazing, memorable family gathering celebrating birthdays and an anniversary. Go and explore the farm, can highly recommend sunrise and sunset walks or just spending time on the verandah soaking in the sun with a good book or playing some games under the trees or on the lawn, take a dip to cool off. The stream next to the house kept our little granddaughter entertained for hours. Maybe consider adding a jungle gym and swings for children.

Extremely well equipped self catering units!

Environment is very peaceful and quiet. Host, Theresa, is só friendly and helpful. The units are extremely well equipped! No loadshedding! Theresa thought of everything when she did the units. Wildlife, sunset, sunrise, views and walking trails, just amazing. We can't wait for summer to go back!

The perfect weekend away.

We stayed at Rockwood Farm a few weeks ago. It was fantastic, the place has everything you need, including hot water bottles, heaters, and extra blankets. A great place in the mountains to get away for the weekend.

Ongelooflike ligging in die berge met soveel meer as net verblyf! Regtig een van die beste plekke waar ons al ooit gebly het. Baie baie dankie!

Lovely cottage on a farm with picturesque landscapes.

The cottage is well-equipped and has beautiful views over the dams. Theresa is a wonderful host. We highly recommend Rockwood Farm.

Baie mooi en netjiese eenheid, ongelooflike natuurskoon met pragtige staproetes. Ons gasvrou het ook seker gemaak dat ons gemaklik is. Ons hondekinders het dit net so geniet. Gaan beslis weer terug.

'n Plek waar jy kan ontspan.

Wild Olive cottage is privaat, netjies en goed toegerus. Het heerlik op die groot stoep gekuier. Baie mooi omgewing en gronde word goed in stand gehou. Was lekker om die plek te verken. Beurtkrag was ook nie 'n probleem met die 'generator' op die perseel nie. Sal Rockwood farm beslis aanbeveel.

We had a very relaxing stay in a very well-equipped, beautiful self-catering unit.

The farm was beautiful with lovely hikes along the river and other longer routes. Could not fault anything!

Asemrowende omgewing!

Kothuis is stylvol en gerieflik met gehaltebreekware, verwarmers en vars blomme om ons welkom te heet. Berge, riviere en watervalle wat geniet kan word en om sommer net op die stoep te sit en te wees. 'n Besondere ervaring!

Beautiful!

So much to explore in the area. Very comfortable and homey. Loved it.

Heerlik en dankie vir n goed-versorgde huis.

Rockwood is geleë op 'n wonderlike stukkie aarde. Water, rotse, goed-versorgde tuine, natuurbewaring word toegepas, baie groot verskeidenheid voëls en rus en vrede. Gasvrou is 'n wonderlike interessante mens. Sal weer gaan, net langer as 2 nagte.

Peaceful, comfortable, scenic and unique.

Theresa was a lovely friendly host and the cottage was very comfortable in a totally unique setting. The walks and rock pools were unique and beautiful and best of all our dogs were very welcome.

'n Baie spesiale wegbreek. Dis 'n plek waar jy rus, memories maak, en nóg 'n kuier daar beplan!

Ons gesin van 4 het 'n vinnige mid-week kuier by Rockwood Farm gehad. Dit was ons 2de besoek, en beslis nie die laaste nie! Dit is troeteldier-vriendelik (ons Staffie was saam), en die WiFi is vinnig genoeg indien bietjie werk gedoen moet word. Lieflike plek!

Amazing place.

Staff are brilliant.

We had a most enjoyable experience.

The surroundings are breathtaking, lots to do and see on the farm, especially the beautiful variety of proteas and other wildflowers. Totally relaxing, in the serene peace and quiet the farm has to offer. And the pet-friendly option is most welcome.

Relaxing

Wonderful accommodation, very comfortable beds, beautiful location. Loved going down to the river and hearing the running stream in front of the house! We will definitely be back!

Really great location in the mountains with comfortable and very neat cottages.

Great getaway for family and yound kids with lots of walking trials, grass patches, river and dam.

Ons was in Rockwood Cottage. Pragtige uitsig met uitstekende, warm gasvryheid.

Dit is 'n besonderse uitsig met kort staproetes en alles wat mens van Sederberge verwag. Heerlike rusplek en lafenis vir die siel.

Baie rustige en mooi plek.

Baie mooi huis en die manier waarop die tuin uitgelê in maak dat jy nie weet daar is nog mense rondom jou nie - Geen TV was 'n bonus om net rustig te verkeer.

Relaxing and beautiful surroundings.

We had a fabulous and relaxing weekend at Rockwood Farm, the views, the accommodation and the hospitality were all top notch. Lovely facilities and Therese made us feel really at home.

A Cederberg gem.

What a stunning weekend in an awesome setting. Rockwood Cottage exceeded all our expectations. The cottage was beautifully clean and tastefully furnished. The setting took our breath away. We had a wonderful weekend relaxing, taking photographs, walking on some of the trails and admiring the beautiful rock formations and reflections in the dams. The gardens and lawns are a delight to behold. Theresa was such a lovely, bubbly person, and made us very welcome. We will definitely be back.

Baie lekker gebly! Huis is gemaklik en lekker toegerus! Al was dit winter was die huis glad nie koud nie! Ons is vriendelik verwelkom en huis was netjies en skoon. Ons sal vir seker weer wil gaan.

Eenvoudige verblyf met lekker staproetes vir die hele gesin. Ons het lekker gekuier, dankie.

Absoluut ongelooflik!

Wat 'n pragtige, rustige, relaxing en goed vir jou siel plek. Sal definitief weer daar gaan bly.

Alles was perfek, van die verblyf tot die pragtige tuine. Ons gasvrou het ons baie tuis en welkom laat voel en ons sal beslis baie spoedig weer gaan.

A tranquil place ─ not to be missed.

What a great find. The accommodation is great value for money, the host is friendly, and the views are out of this world. There are several hikes on the farm you can do too.

Pragtige, rustige, na aan die natuur plek.

Theresa was baie vriendelik en verwelkomend. Wild Olive Cottage was pragtig, skoon en netjies en ons hondjie het dit ook geniet. Wat ek miskien sal aanbeveel is 'n braaibak en 'n toeknyp rooster andersins was daar alles wat jy benodig het. Sal die plaas vir almal aanbeveel en die wandelroetes met die rockart is baie mooi.

Peaceful.

Stunning place. Peaceful. No noise. Just nature. Theresa, thank you for checking up on us. Wild Olive cottage was equipped with everything we needed - even the rock pool is nearby. Definitely going back. A real gem of a place to wind down from your busy life style.

Amazing location, amazing views, amazing short hikes to the rock art and river where there are pools and waterfalls to swim in, and so quiet and peaceful, will be returning.

I would recommend anyone to Rockwood Farm. We stayed in the Wild Olive cottage. Very clean, private with superb views. Oh yes, and excellent pillows and good quality bedding.
