Description

DumaZulu Reptile Park is a fascinating attraction situated at the DumaZulu complex in Hluhluwe, in the Zululand region of KwaZulu-Natal. The reptile park features the largest selection of snakes in northern Zululand, as well as crocodiles and other reptiles.

The reptile park is comprised of a large snake pit and a crocodile park. Visitors can expect to see snakes such as black mamba, green mamba, forest cobra, boomslang, puff adder, spitting cobra, house snakes, file snakes, banded cobra, rinkhals, vine snake, twig snakes, and the African egg eater. Other reptiles include monitor lizards and crocodiles that vary in size, from young to adult.

In addition to the snake park, the DumaZulu complex also features a traditional village (also known as a “living museum”) where visitors can watch the locals make spears, shields, claypots, beadwork, and basketwork, as well as see some spectacular Zulu dancing. The complex also boasts a shebeen (bar), dining area, curio shop, and swimming pool.
